About our fraser Vision
The fraser logo, yes, fraser with a lowercase f, (we felt that the lowercase f looked a lot better) has been a long time in the making and represents far more than just a rebranding exercise. In 2009, the staff created FRASER and since then being Future Focussed, Respectful, Active Adventurer, Striving for Success, Enthusiastic and Resourceful have become part of everything that we do at Fraser Crescent School. We wanted to create an image of Fraser and Jade Stent’s artwork was eventually used in order to bring Fraser to life. This is the fellow that appears at the top of every school newsletter. Times change and we wanted to create a Fraser which better represented our school. Furthermore, we were concerned that having a boy Fraser may have resulted in some girl students being unable to relate to him. After a lot of consultation, our students started describing the sorts of images that they related to each of the FRASER letters. We eventually decided on silhouettes, and after taking some photos of our own students, Gina Wood kindly turned these photos into silhouettes for us. I would like to thank the students for their input, particularly those who posed for the photos, as well as the committee that was set up in order to develop the final artwork, especially Gina Wood.
The photo below was taken at the launch of our new logo.
